| €100.00 | The Hasselblad 500C/M is a legendary camera and often was the workhorse of many professional photographers. They were made from 1957 until somewhere in the 1990s, this example comes from 1980. The A12 back made in 1987 is a more modern back marked 12 on top. It comes with a Zeiss Distagon 60mm f/3.5 C T* which is a nice wider lens that works to about a 35mm on 35mm format which is great for reporting for example. The shutter was tested on the shutter speed tester and is accurate on all speeds. The focus of the lens is smooth. Focusing screen installed in the camera has a split image in the middel for easier focusing. We do see some marks on the screen but it is bright to look through but not a acute matte type. Finder opens and closes correctly as does the loupe. Rapid wind crank installed. Later model A12 back checked for correct spacing and light seals have been replaced. Some paint loss on the back and leather is also shrunken a tiny bit. The AE-1 has a built in light meter and offers (semi) automatic* exposure modes, making it great for starters or less experienced film shooters. The AE-1 uses the legendary Canon FD lensmount which offers a huge selection of great and yet very affordable lens options. The shutter speeds range from 1/1000 to 2s. The light meter readout is shown inside the viewfinder, making it quick and easy to work with. The camera won’t fire without batteries, it needs a 4LR44 battery to operate. Canon AE-1 variants:The standard version of the AE-1 offers 2 exposure modes: shutter speed priority and full manual exposure mode. The later Program* version also offers a fully automated exposure mode, which also can set the correct aperture for you. Most AE-1 models will be in a black/chrome finish, but there is some fully black ones as well.
